Hello,
In Nato symbols mode, it is impossible to separate Regular / Jager for Finnish Infantry and Regular / Light Division for Hungarian infantry.
Here is a screenshot with suggestions for names of the units (I think it is not to complicate to modify the names (?)) :

Hi terminator,
agreed & changed. You will see this in 1.08.
Yes, its easy to change things like that in our engine.
Thanks for the report.

Hi Ronald,

Two remarks :
- the hungarian "Light Division" unit should be renamed "Light Infantry" because you can create different formations with the editor (Battalion, Regiment, Brigade and Division).
- Late in 1941 the German Army created a series of leichte Infanterie Divisionen (light infantry divisions) for service in hilly and mountainous areas and in the Pripet marshes but not requiring the full capabilities of a mountain division. In the middle of 1942 the light divisions were renamed Jägerdivisionen (Jäger means hunter or light infantry). For more details :

Why not to add Light or Jäger Division to Germany ?
Happy new year to all wargamers !

Hi Ronald,
To add more varieties of infantry is considerable

. The infantry is the queen of the battles.
How to name the german light infantry: simply Light or Jager ?

Hi Ronald,
This is a good idea. The Bolsheviks just tried their idea of partisan tactics near Rostov. When I reach Tikhvin I will show them what ''partisan tactics'' really means and light infantry will be very useful there.

Hi folks,
yes we can add those two types with one soldier less in the mesh (as they only have 2 regiments) and some variations in the values accordingly.

Hi Ronald,
Good idea to use one soldier less in the mesh.
You could use the initial formation in the mesh with two soldiers :

Hi Ronald,
I do not know your plans or how much your graphic designer can do. If at some point in the future you feel like making more infantry meshes, here are some ideas:
- Regular 39 - MG, MP40, rifle + grenade (the standard infantry image for newest Panzer General II mods)
- Jager/Light infantry - 2x MP40
- Regular 44 - Panzerfaust, MP44, MG (the soldiers are small so there will be no difference between MG34 and MG42 in the picture)
Just an idea.

Hi Marechal,
we have already the variants in the image below. The 3d models were originally all done by me. As of 1.07 there was the first contribution of Oliver Horschel, more models of whom will show up in 1.08.
We have also the flamethrower variant of the engineers. Basically there is no real limit as to what we can include if there is a clear vision of it.

Hi Ronald,
Regular 1939 infantry - officer + rifle + grenade - we have this icon
1939 security - same as infantry - we have this icon
Jager - 2x MP - we have this icon
Regular 1943 infantry/Grenadier - officer + Sturmgewehr + Panzerfaust - an icon we do not have
Late war militia with panzerfausts and other weaker units - officer + MP + Panzerfaust, the current Regular 43 icon
Same icons in Elite colors. By the end of the war Elite had many divisions also including infantry/Grenadier.
So if you feel like making two more icons, this is the idea. Since we do not have many scenarios for the last two years of war this is not urgent if you have other things to do.
I was thinking about a machine gunner image but right now I do not see a unit that could use it.
Regards,
Marechal

Hi,
In the Riga scenario, there is a security unit (208. Sicherung-Div). It is impossible to distinguish it in 3D from the regular infantry '39.
Here is a suggestion allowing to distinguish them in 3D:
-Security : rifle + MP + officer
-Regular '39 : rifle + grenade + officer
Think what you of this variant ?

Hi,
Security divisions are brigade strength and not in the core force but it would also be a good idea to distinguish them by the icon. This could be a good idea.
The man with the grenade also has a weapon, most likely a rifle. I imagine they held it in the other hand when throwing a grenade.

Hi Marechal,
In the Riga scenario, the security unit (207. Sicherung-Div not 208) is a brigade in spite of its naming of division but you can change the size of the formation towards division with the editor.
You can see that there are Security Divisions in Gary Grisby's War in the east.

Hi folks,
there are now Light and Jager units in Germany at War. Also SEC division are now displayed as divisions.
Jager can be formed as division, regiments or battalions, the others are restricted to divisions.
This is because firstly they were historically only used that way and secondly because their main difference was the composition as a division.
