Analysis and questioning:

Analysis
1- to become rich, the wargame is not the ideal way
2- Toth is definitely not the Matrix Cash Cow
3- Yet apparently the dynamics of sales increase is probably one of the best
4- the forum is active
5- Peter is a serious guy, Paullus too
6- the game is not perfect but it improves
7- A DLC, without novelty is less attractive
8-all the players ask for a lot of future improvements, there will necessarily be disappointments

Questioning
1- Does Peter have the ability and the means to make future major improvements desired by the players?
2- Even more important, is Peter allowed to make future major improvements by the players?

Conclusion
It is certainly not just about money...

Rico, this is fine as far as it goes, very insiteful. Except it ignores a couple of things and makes some questionable assumptions

1 that by no means is the ToTH forum as active as the many ASL forums. This forum is activated by a few people who post regularly, develop scenarios, the developers, and so on. It's definitely more active than the Panzer Corps forum for that reason, and yes that is a good thing.

2 Perhaps you have sales figures data for all of Matrix and other computer games out there. I think it is a wild assumption that ToTH sales 'is one of the best.'

3. Most importantly, this game is not so much an original creation as it is an opportunistic borrowing of another game system. The sooner this reputation is divested, the better. As I've just recently said, I don't want to be looking at my ASL charts and rules to play this game.

questions

1. Good question, don't know if we will get an answer. But Matrix/Slitherine certainly have the programming resources to chip in. Perhaps that is the idea behind this DLC, to get some cash available for additional resources. I just think it's the cart before the horse to put the DLC out. But these guys have more experience with selling and marketing computer games specifically.

2. I can imagine that any improvements can be divested of this reputation that the game is based on ASL parameters. This is the wargaming industry, notions of how to set up effects/procedures are 'borrowed' all the time. The key is taking ownership of the systems and to stop relying on people knowing stuff about ASL. It's not necessary, in my opinion.

cheers!

Not the volume of sales, the increase in the continuity of sales(Deduction made by observation)

I understand that two large companies
Share the ASL market and that Peter is closer to the one than to the other.

All the pure and hard fans of ASL are gone,
I'm glad you stayed ...[&o]

Thanks :) those guys don't see what they are missing out on more's the pity; they could be helping with this but their attitude is not the best.
