Got supply can't move.

Hi,

See pic attached.

My HQ can't move to the hex to the SW of it. I can load it on to a transport and unload it there but I can't walk it there. Not a major issue but a bit annoying all the same. Also why won't any of the cities got to supply 5 in UK. Have conquere all of them. Makes it very difficult to maneuver around after evicting all the Brits.

Hi tarfman

I've had a look and the reason is that there is no road there, so the movement cost of moving into a mountain hex to the SW is too high for the HQ, so it can only travel NE towards the port.

The supply is low because there are no friendly Key Resources boosting up resource strengths, a situation that doesn't exist on the continent.

It only has two action points and mountains require 3, although the road should lesson that. I have noticed that my HQ's sometimes only get 2 action points. My guess is they use up a point supporting? attacks made by their units. Sorry for the digression. I think it has something to do with the missing action point.

edit: didn't realize you could have a railroad without a road.

Think they need a supply value of at least 6 to get there max AP.

Hi

Yes, the road and rail layers are separate, so one can have both or just the one.

The HQ's support of other units doesn't reduce its action points, but its own supply status and strength will be factors in it.
