Couple of questions before committing..

Hiyall.

I'm torn. After learning and enjoying Grigsby's ops a LOT, I'd like a more tactical turn based experience.

I see Tigers on the Hunt being an awesome labour of love and a constantly evolving game. Really could just buy it.
BUT
Is it more a board game or a wargame? I mean, as I've been eyeing John Tiller's Squad Battles, it seems they're more like a simulation of war, as are my beloved Grigsby-games too. But on the other hand, it seems Squad Battles are "done" and are not updated regularly. Is Panzer Battles a good tactical alternative in Tiller's catalog?

To make the question clearer: I'm not an analog wargamer, I've been playing Tiller's Campaign series, Panzer corps and WitE+WitW.
Should I go with Tiller or get Tigers? In a way I'd like to support the developer here, but I'm not in a mood for buying multiple games (the new years' sale took a toll, so to speak :D)
