barsted, I admit I hesitated.

So I did. Nice and loud, because this meant something Mother. Means something more than we
probably will ever know.
But oddly enough, despite everything it means, I'm proud to have read it, to be first aboard
to know it.

When Peter came onto the bridge I had just begun the morning coffee. There's something, I am sure
we all know, about that first coffee.
But really, can you compare your first coffee of the day to mine, sipped so carefully here on
Chesters bridge, the mighty pacific rolling endlessly away to the invisible horizon?

About me, the endless blue, and upon it, the dark grey, deep blue of our task force, steaming
West, steaming over our waters, the united States at sea, our nation at sea, free, goddam free to go where
ever she chooses to go.
How many mornings at sea now? How many bridges?
How many cups of coffee.?
20 years worth, from cadet days to now, XO of nine and a half thousand tons of mighty American Muscle
So many years.
So many mornings.
And every cup of coffee so sweet, so satisfying, no matter what the seas threw at you.

I have always been under the impression the toggle was across the board, ships, air squadrons and LCUs.

You are right Hans - it is "No UNIT withdrawals", and it affects both sides (although I don't know why the Japanese have to withdraw any units).
But the biggest losses of political points seem to be from problems withdrawing ships, so most players focus on the ship withdrawal dates rather than the air and land units.

Just a quick view from the South Pole........the above is indeed correct......I have no Idea what the long term implications are......Obviously the RN will have a much bigger role to play......on the plus side I get to keep the Thai Army.....which is a bonus?

It also means that the PI air force doesn't withdraw, nor do all of the headquarters squadrons.

I don't know the extent of it, but Japan does withdraw a bunch of air and land units.
