Blowing bridges

Can HE fire, OBA, or demo charges destroy a bridge? There are times when such a feature could come handy...

Too bad... when playing Psel River with the Russians, on the third day I sent a DC-armed Engineer squad to recapture the VP hex at the end of the bridge. I thought it would have been nice to blow the bridge and then watching the AI go crazy [:D].
