well, i have ICQ on this machine now... only problem is... i have nobody's ICQ numbers...

www.viciousbyte.de and click one of the links. Theres this page that gives u many ICQ numbers. And it also tells u if they are on or not.

This is definatly not true. There once was a link to Tribaals page with some ICQ profiles but this was deleted a long time ago.

but i was more looking for messages from people via ICQ that actual numbers. ahh well, this way works too.

well, i looked for the thread you were talking about (with the ICQ #s), and it seems to be nonexistant...
unless of course it has a very non-obvious subject. in which case i could easily have overlooked it.

You're right firestorm. The thread was called ICQ. Now, who would have figured it would contain the ICQ #s of people in this forum? No wonder you overlooked it...

Have you installed ICQ and given an ICQ#?
If you don't, you have to download ICQ
www.icq.com IIRC. There's the full version and the lite version.
Install it and run it. There's a search button, you can search people by name, ICQ#,... Easiest is to search by ICQ#, by copying+pasting the #s from the ICQ thread mentioned above to the text box. Send a request to be added to that person's list, with ToS as subject, and wait for permission to be added. Then just wait for someone to popup on your screen and ask you to play

ah-HAH! no WONDER i was having such a hard time finding the threads!
after some careful examination, i discovered that the source of my problem was that the forum was only showing posts from the last 45 days (something i'm not used to). i got it working now...
anyways...
