B1 and F35 joint strikes

I read in the aviationist today that the F35 guided B1 strikes during Red Flag 17-1. Is there a way to simulate this in CMANO?

I think that every single AC can already "guide" any other AC in game as every single piece of information from any single AC can be used by any other AC in-game.
This is totally not realistic, but is a compromise in order to make the game playable.

Yes. Targets in an unknown location or with a large ambiguity zone. Cloud layer obscuring and EMCON preventing local targeting by the B-1B. Fly an F-35 under the cloud layer to use DAS or use ELINT to locate targets for B-1B to drop JDAMs on.
If you want something even more direct, use the mixed loadout with LJDAMs and put the F-35 under the clouds to lase mobile targets for the B-1B.

Here's a quote from The Aviationist since I can't post links yet...
"The recently revealed reports suggest that large-scale F-35A strikes were conducted in a highly contested/denied aerial environment. Air Force F-35As penetrated denied airspace and directed standoff weapons from B-1B heavy bombers flying outside the denied airspace. Those strikes destroyed simulated surface to air weapons systems. This suggests some of the exercises were an example of a “first day of war” scenario where Air Force F-35As spearheaded an attack on a heavily defended target set both in the air and on the ground. The F-35As entered the denied airspace and engaged both aerial and ground targets, not only with weapons they carried but also with weapons launched from other platforms such as the B-1Bs as they loitered just outside the threat environment acting as “bomb trucks.”"
So, I guess this suggests that they used LJDAMS?

well, even assuming that there is no datalinking possible between B1 <---> F35 (and that may not be true) you can always "go around the problem" by just passing MGRS grid references or lat/long to the B1 crews. once they create a steerpoint/markpoint/B1 equivalent they can throw all the ordnance desired at the target from wherever they are.
buddy lase is also a possibility ofc.

The Aviationist article pretty much sums up my understanding of the role of the F35 over the next several years. Let's bundle an "AWACS and JSTARS" into a stealth fighter. I imagine the technical leap was being able to reduce the weight of the powerful electronics needed to provide those a-traditional fighter capabilities.

It'd be fairly easy to model that sort of behavior in Command. You would give the bombers a "Patrol - ASuW (Ground)" mission and then have it stand off out of the weapons range of whatever is in the area you intend to send the F-35s into. Give a similar mission to the F-35s directly over the area you intend to engage ground and air targets in. Give the bombers an engagement area for their mission that is identical to or encompasses the F-35's area. Every time something pops up, if the F-35s can't smack it, the bombers will.

yes just use the f35 as an isr asset for the b-1b.... walla.... pow hanna... time to go home....
