I understand there is a way to edit the Task Force icons.
Can anyone tell me what thread to look in to do this.
Thanks,

Go into the Art folder in the game directory tree and edit the file with the icons.

Halsey had some alternative task force icon files on his site but he took them down because they were causing confusion.
(People installed the modified icon files, didn't like the changes and then couldn't uninstall them - they should have backed up their original files first). [:(]
He may still have these files if you ask. [;)]
However, if you would like to have a go at creating some yourself, there is an example
here... ( ChemKid's FreshFlags Icon Mod)
Tip: The background of the modified files must be exactly the same color or it will not be transparent in the game.
Best of luck,

I want to change only the Escort TF icon. So I go to the Button3 set and edit that portion of the BMP that icon?
Thanks,
Joe

That should do it, yes. Backup the files before changing it in case you mess up/want to undo the change later.
On the subject of map icons, is there any way to give custom icons for nationalities that currently don't have their own set? I ask on the off-chance that the .exe at the moment first actually looks if an icon set (called somethingsomething.bmp) for the Commonwealth and only one isn't found it defaults to the British set.
I suspect only a developer knows the answer to this question.
