It's now over 2hrs into this, the first of the Northern Inferno Campaign, I've learned so much.

After the sim runs for like 2 secs, the contacts light up, you are bedazzled, and click on"Help". Yeah, thanks...HOT KEYS

But that's ok...you wanna make it hard...fine!

Then I got down to "Playing" this sim. Or was it playing me?????

"Hah! a sub! Close in to one of my TF's and it has Helo's! Yay! Damn? What now?!?!

Hit "Stop" you moe.....

Break out the e-manual....Hit the forums, You Tube, etc etc etc....

Ahhhhhhh, do this,this this and this....poof! Stuff happens! So what do I do???

RESTART!

Now I setup "Patrol Areas, Missions,Launch Aircraft, Plot Courses, Research Loadouts, Ready vs Non- Ready Aircraft, Sensors (Oh the Sensors!) and the "BIOLOGICS!"

(Mind you, I'm now into DAY 4 of playing this evil thing!)

A few questions:

Have you played the tutorials?

Do you only have Northern Inferno, or do you own the whole CMANO?

How much of the manual have you read?


The first Northern Inferno scenario is big, but not that hard if you know what you are doing, but I wouldn't recommend it as a first attempt scenario.

Read every thread, watched/played the tutorials, .....Don't get me wrong! I am so sucked into this bioche.....

2 Whiskey's, a Zulu,November, a Foxtrot, and a Victor II are the contacts I am currently tracking. 1 Foxtrot has been sunk. Both Nimrod 1 and VP26 P3 Orion, have been laying barriers.

The Bear relayed targeting telemetry to a missile boat that fired 4 missiles. All were intercepted...

A PC3 Orion from Andoya is currently prosecuting a Foxtrot with TU 603.01.01

2353z...TU 603.01.04: HMS Bacchante FFH and HNLMS Van Nes FFH were sunk by a missile attack. I have no way of defending against the Bear-D's from sending targeting telemetry to the missile sub(s)....

Two Foxtrots sunk, two Frigates sunk. Created a new mission out of Andoya, and a new patrol area to attempt to isolate the boat. Multiple assets are heading towards the Andoya 1 patrol area where 3 of the contacts probability zones start.

0043z...The Victor's probability area.....Time to prosecute...

0153z....A pair of P3B Orions from Andoya report engaging and destroying a Victor II

0452z... The current overall situation....The serious threat is the SSGN's (Juliet and the Charlie). 4 plane ASW Strike Mission (2 Nimrods, 2 P3B Orions) are ordered against those subs, along with an ASW Strike against the Juliet out of Andoya.

TU .03 is closing on the B61 Zulu IV contact. Her helo is rearming and will be ready in 30 mins.

TU .02 is approaching the 2nd Zulu IV. With no helo's, she is dependent on DDG McDonough's Sonar Suite....

The Whiskey's can wait....

0510z....Another P3B Orion, out of Andoya, prosecuting the Charlie.....

0731z....The current situation.

The Juliet is tough to nail down. #333 Sqdn has been assigned to assist.

P3B Orions from Keflavik (VP 26) are approx 85nm from Whiskey S-80.

0754z...Aggressive prosecution of contact S-80 (Whiskey) ends in a kill.........

0831z...The Juliet is finally sunk.....End of Scenario. Major Victory 700

Wrote a ton of conclusions, then got timed out....ugh!

Summary....Lots learned, tons more to learn.
