For ease of referral I add the optionals and house rules here. Note they are no different to games 1, 2 and 4. The idea is that each of us gets to play each major power.
This time we are playing as follows:
warspite1: CW/US/Nationalist Chinese
Orm: France/USSR/Communist Chinese
Mayhemizer: Japan/Italy
AllenK: Germany
House rules:
-USSR - Japan pact (Basically playing the normal rules but without markers so based upon the 2-1 Garrison ratio modified annual as per the RAC).
-Only strategic bombing allowed as a night mission (all other missions must be performed by day).
-No strategic bombers 'teleport' behind a fighter screen. (Rules to be announced later).
Optionals in play
Lend Lease
The US and Soviets try and peddle their wares on the international stage. The British, French and Chinese are unimpressed.
"Come back to me when you can offer the Grumman Avenger" says the First Sea Lord.

US Entry
3 x Chits are placed in the Germany/Italy Entry Ledger
US Set Up
The US scrapping program is heavy in aircraft, light elsewhere.

Italians set up their forces to French and Egyptian border.
Edit: Added map. I must say creating map with multiple flyouts is much easier with 2 screens...

The Chinese unsurprisingly scrap nothing.
Not too much to say re the set-up either.

Can you remind me how please?
I had problems opening 2 Paint files at same time with one screen.
I do it like this:
1) Press "Print screen" from map I wan to take picture (game in screen 1)
2) Open Paint and paste picture (screen 2)
3) Cut the area I want to post
4) Open new Paint and close the old one (now I have picture I want to post in screen 2)
5) Move mouse in game (screen 1) to get new Flyout and press "Print screen"
6) Open new Paint (screen 1)
7) Cut Flyout
8) Paste the Flyout to picture I want to post
9) Save the picture
Many phases but took only 1 minute from me [:)]

Now I got confused. I was placing CW units in game 3 until I saw that Italy has exactly the same set up as I did, in game 3 [&:]
Maybe I wait little until it is time for Japan to place their units...

Yeah, it took me like 5-10 minutes to realize that.
I'm happy I realized it before I placed all CPs.

The Commonwealth sadly have a lot of obsolete rubbish to scrap.....

Why sadly? I am glad that I get the opportunity to scrap the bad units, or if I want to keep them so I have more units available.
One can not expect the old gear in reserve storage to be top notch.

That's it. Also: I tend not to scrap any TRS with the CW, the US or the French. Even the very slow ones give the Allies necessary sea lift in late war. You can't have enough transport capabilities...

Sadly because the British entered the war with so much rubbish - and that rubbish cost lives.

Yes. That is sad. And the situation would have been better with more up to date equipment.
However, my point is that some of that rubbish equipment might actually have saved some lives because it was better than nothing at all.

Indeed - sometimes yes and sometimes no. i.e. it was possible to achieve things with sub-optimal equipment - but also possible to achieve absolutely nothing except the waste of young lives - The poor Fairey Battle pilots being a case in point.

Anyway, on a happier note (provided I don't get a mad except when saving) I have been able to get the CW production working. Probably not optimal but it works so I'll go with it [:)]
