playing as allied I did a deliberate attack on red rounded axis units, under a german mechanized infantry counter there is an italian unit counter:









"121st italian coastal regiment routed" as result of combat, but on left of combat report I see only a german unit 15th panzergrenadier division, there's nothing about an italian unit, but I suppose that 121st italian regiment really fought together german panzergrenadier division, because after the combat a routed unit appeared near Messina, it's indicated by the yellow-red arrow

Italian unit could be depleted or not combat ready. These units do not show up in the fighting list (left/right), but appear in the result section in the middle.
