Extended Maps

Currently enjoying my first 4 months of a Stock Campaign game. As I think ahead to my next game (I do intend to play my current one out) I would like to get an Extended Map working. I am at my wits end trying to install one on my test WITPAE game. I have been to DaBabes and followed the instructions there, but to no avail. (One of the issues here is that I cannot find the WPEN.bmp files that are required to unzip and put in the Art file. I find the WPEH files, and the data files...but not these) I have been to Big B's Shipyard, where incidentally I seem to be able to get the WPEN.bmp files. However, in all installs I try, Aden docked, anchored ships and aircraft and land units show up in a box a number of hexes out of Aden. I have seen some people describe similar issues...but have not been able to find a reference to what I might be doing wrong.

Grateful for any help this forum might have.

The problem is that the scenario files and the map have to match. To use the extended map you will have to have an extended map scenario like DBB, or one from the RA series.

Thank you Bill. It seems so obvious once you have pointed it out...and I should have figured that out. All works fine now.

Many thanks!

I've never used extended maps. I'm thinking of scenario 68 May 42.

But where do I start?

What is scenario 68? Who made it?

No, it is a standard map scenario.

65 is yes. 68 is extended.

Or is this scenario not any good?

Yes, 68 is. Next time it would help if you put a link to the correct thread.
