Strategic Command WWII: War in Europe is easily one of most successfully wargames released recently, and during the last few months a vibrant community has been centered around this game.

So, it is not surprise that a lot of mods have been already created, and we decided to give a proper highlight to some of them, focusing (but not only) on improving the Counters used in the base game!

can i use the 653h counter mod with out other game changes as i am using the turmoil mod now?

Hi - The 653H Counters involve other game changes so it can't be used in other mods or even with the stock campaigns. I apologize about that, I should have made a counter mod first, then made game changes, but I didn't think too good [:(]

Basically, there are pure "counter mods" (compatible with the vanilla OOB) and mods with modified unit graphics, which can often not be used (without partial complex adjustments) for the basic game or other mods. The mod list of sPzAbt653 http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4234483 is however very helpful for this distinction.

The "Another Counter Mod" ( tm.asp?m=4193836 ) goes perfectly with the Board Game map mod ( tm.asp?m=4193147 ).

Just started playing SC3 after plenty of hours in CMANO and GGWitW. I like it already!
Great to see the modding community active!

I like the 'Big WiE Nato' counter mod for the land and air units, but I would like to change it to use the hex shaped naval units from the 'Naval War' mod for SC World at War. The ones that say 'BB' or 'SS', not the ones that say 'Strike' or 'Wolfpack'.

Is there an easy way to make that happen?
