Just learned that KG Erwin (Glenn Higginbotham), a long time member of this forum, passed away 03March2017. He was a big time wargamer and baseball lover that used to post here quite a bit. God Bless and Good Journey, Glenn.

Seems he hadn't posted a thread etc for over a year. I also remember not to long ago he posted about his Dad having a heart attack, shows how young he was:(. If I remember he was pretty active with SPWAW.

I do think this should be a little reminder to all of us here to be more aware of a regular seeming to suddenly stop posting. So one of us can try and reach out just to show we care.

Sad to hear. I valued his posts as I do many others. I can picture the avatar he used right now, too.

From memory he admitted to a drinking problem on the forum. That takes guts.

I was thinking the other day about the Matrix World in Flames forum. That started in about 2004 and, although the game is playable, it's not finished. I've noticed a lot of guys who posted early on, don't anymore. Obviously there are various reasons for that but I wonder how many people have just dropped off the twig? Wargamers are often older folk anyway. About 13 years of development is going to be too long for some [:(] Hopefully Steve's health holds up [:)]

Cheers, Neilster

I'm saddened to hear of his passing. He seemed a decent guy who was always passionate about playing either the Germans or the USMC in SPWAW. I was thinking about him just a few days ago, I figured he found a different hobby to enjoy in his retirement. He'll be missed!
