This mission is a bit of a troll, isn't it?

Just to see how unfair it was, I loaded it in the editor, put a Seawolf submarine in the middle of the mission area, and kept my planes on the ground. 700 points. "Average."

Mission accomplished, no casualties. Average. Troll city!

The mission worked a bit more like a game when I set it up differently. I loaded the coastlines with an even dozen Patriot batteries, then walked away for an hour. At that point, it was a nice little puzzle, figuring out how to strike most efficiently, without having to worry about clouds of AAMRAMs from wheels up to shot down.

My view is it's a scenario where you're going to take losses so need to think a bit about the best approach and experiment. If you're just looking for a simple win or loss outcome it's probably not for you.
