Were main guns that unreliable back in WW2? Usually my Main guns are all broken or most of them by the end the scenario. Not once has one been repaired yet. Am doing anything that might cause them to break more often? (besides firing them)

Any time a weapon fires, there is a one in 36 chance of breaking. Some, especially Russian, has a three in 36 chance. Most repair one a 1 in 6 chance. Ur just suffering from rng.

I think US, Br and Ru armament breaks at an extremely high rate in every scenario I've played...much higher than I ever remember in the old days of AH SL (I played in the late seventies/early eighties so I could be mis-remembering).

For Russians 3 in 36 is 8.33%, or about one out of every 11 shots. That in my (worthless) opinion is a detriment to playability in a game that is not famous for it in the first place.

Best left to the experts, and I'm sure it will get looked at.

FWIW the guns breaking was a combination of factors. Training, supply, weapon design, etc. IIRC the Russian LMG was the worst.
