This might be a very silly question, but I can't find a way - is there a way - to switch off the clutter of contact 'uncertainty' graphics - the yellow rectangles indicating the approx position of an emission etc. Is there a way to switch them off? Thanks.

I don't think there is a way of switching it off, could be wrong - best thing is to reduce the ambiguity by putting more sensors from different direction onto the problem. Once you find something its best not to lose it.

Right click the contact and select 'Filter Out' and this will remove the ambiguity sectors.
Just remember that you did it, otherwise it might be confusing with it jumping around everywhere

While we're at it is it possible to suppress the target emission info? That can really clutter the screen in large formations.

yea in the same menu where u set range ring visibility you can choose to have contact emission on, on only for selected unit, or off.

In addition to what Sakai points out, there's also an option for "All Emissions for Selected Contact, Fire-Control Only for Rest", which really helps declutter the screen, but won't hide the FLAP LID that's about to ruin your day.

I noticed that - very nice feature! Just one of those things I want to suppress from time to time for clarity's sake.
