How to quickly restart with same settings ?

It has been a while since I played
I have a memory there is a way to restart with the same setup if you are dissatisfied with where the game puts you in the universe or with the home solar system etc
In other words, to generate a new universe on the same settings, but without having to click through all the setup screens to do it
Does anyone know?

It saves your settings each time you play a custom game.
Start a new custom game and the settings you last used are there. Just click the "next" button 6 times and you're generating a new universe.
AFAIK there is no single button to do this.

Yes I know I can do as you say -
But I have the notion there is a way to do it quicker than clicking through all those setup screens

Yes it would be convenient
Maybe the memory I have is from another game

Maybe you're thinking of GalCiv2? Control-N would re-generate the game with current settings.

It wasn't GalCiv2
I have never managed to get into that game for some reason
Might have been Civ5....perhaps?
