Clicking in the map does not center the chosen object in the main view

Clicking in the map does not center the chosen object in the main view.
To explain it a little further:
At the left pic you see where the main view and the map is lcated. then I press left click on the map at the red circle.
In the right pic you see where the view jumps to. it is way off the clicked location.
