Hello. Have you ever played your game by yourself? There are so many bugs and crashes that someone hardly can play it. It is disaster. Hardly can understand how can someone sell the game with such obvious bugs that anyone can see them even in his first game. I have seen that two of them you try to fix in your beta 1.02 (groups and recruting). Anyone make mistakes. But reliable developers will not sell the game without testing. This is serious genre.

P. S. Sorry for my bad english. It's not my native language.

One does wonder sometimes...

I believe testing was done, but as to the standard of the testing or the period knowledge of the testers... [&:]

I have one question about the game. Can we see overall combat strength on the battle results screen? Overall combat strength before and after the battle (both sides). Can't find it. If there is no overall combat strenght for reason of realism, then why we can see it on the map (if our detection value is bigger than hide value of the enemy).

Interesting comment / observation...
The final "request" seems reasonable ( in the circumstance quoted )... [;)]

You deleted the delete-option on load-game-screen. FOR WHAT REASON? In all other AGEOD games on that engine there is option to delete any save-game. But in ECW we can delete it only outside the game in the operational system. It was hard for me to find where are save-game-files (directory is not obvious).
Nevertheless the game is good. It is nice, cosy, perspective. But all that bugs... Please, fix it. I'm waiting for the next patch.

We are working in order to release a new patch, with a new exe version and some identified bugs fixed. My apologies for the inconveniences.
Nice to reach Yekaterinburg [8D]

The delete button is there, you must have overlooked it.
If you load a game, one of the option icons (the one with the old-fashioned eraser) deletes the currently selected game.
The delete button only goes away if you click on one of the sides for that saved game, which you have to do if you're about to play it.
Assuming it wasn't an oversight, what was probably in the programer's mind was that if you've gone that far, you're about to play one of the sides, not delete the game.
Although this isn't a game about the mid-eighteenth century, in the best of all possible worlds you should be able to delete more than you have any business deleting at any step along the way.
The delete functionality is currently present provided you aren't over-caffeinated and pay attention to what all your options are before you click on something. What you apparently can't do is delete a game from within that game.
So as things stand (in version 1.02) you can delete old games to your heart's content without poking around in your documents folder.
While I agree that this could be improved, I think the programer has bigger fish to fry (or other cats to whip, depending on the language that you're speaking).

Working as designed, I believe? "Experience is gained by participating in combat. When an element participates in combat, depending upon its individual success, it may be awarded Experience Points." (see manual, P. 122) Ibelieve that is independent of the outcome of the battle.

You learn something whether you win or lose, provided you live to tell the tale.

7 Engagement Points for winning and 10 for losing the battle? Maybe. But in that battle (second, bad for me) my troops was almost unable to do anything, they were harshly defeated. Sorry, I haven't got screenshot of battle results.

I have one question about the game. Can we see overall combat strength on the battle results screen? Overall combat strength before and after the battle (both sides).
The starting forces and the casualties suffered
for both sides are listed at the very top of the Battle Report in Ageod games.
This has always been a standard feature of Ageod games and is explained in detail and with an illustration in the part of the game manual that deals with the Battle Report (page 87 in section 12.10). If memory serves it is a gaming a convention that was in use in the last century.
The total forces involved in the battle are broken out by infantry, cavalry, and artillery, with initial forces at the start of the battle shown in black and the losses suffered during the battle in red.
English isn't my first language, but I had no trouble finding this information because the manual uses color pictures (colour if you're a Brit). If this were the old Battlefront Combat Mission forum, someone would probably suggest that you
RTFM (American English for please read the manual).

Hey, man. I'm playing AGEOD games for several years and have readed many manuals for them. I asked about OVERALL COMBAT STRENGHT, not about peoples, horses and artillery pieces. In another AGEOD games you can see it on the battle-results-screen for both sides. But in ECW I see it only on the map if my units have big detection values.

In Lyme Regis (Weymouth region) there are two Dorset Cloth Industries (screenshot) (only in the main scenario). I think this is bug.
I have another question. About Oswestry in East Merioneth. In the main scenario there are city level 1 + fort level 1. But in Naseby and Marston Moor scenarios there is only fort level 1 without city. Why it is so?

Very little bug: the font of "St Albans" is not the same as font of another cities in the messages at the bottom of the screenshot.

Here is another little bug. Message about Sir Edward Massie doubled. Thank god, the event itself didn't double and we have only one Sir Edward Massie. It seems that there is problem only with message.
Do you understand why I questioned testing the game?
I'm glad that 1.02b patch have fixed two biggest bugs: disgusting problem with groups and awful problem with recruting.
I hope creators of the game will read my reports and try to fix all that bugs. (Maybe I'll be visited by other bugs).
