I cannot change the system preferences. I'm playing on 1080p with Windows 10.

Matrix forums won't allow me to upload a picture or post a link to imgur... Please check the Steam forums for this game. I made a post there with a picture of what I see in the system preferences. My steam username is Carnifex.

How to get a DxDiag report file:

1. Click on "START" (on Windows 8/10 press “Windows key” and the “R” key at the same time)
2. Click "run" (skip this step on Windows 8/10)
3. Type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. Check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. Click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice
6. Attach the file to your post

The issue is probably caused by your System DPI being set at 150%.
Try setting the User DPI to 100%. Check the guide below (OPTION ONE):

Setting the User DPI is not the same as setting the System DPI, but it might work.

That solutions works, thanks. I actually found someone had the same issue in a thread on this forum.

Is it possible to turn off smoke, i.e. when tanks are destroyed? For someone reason it kills my FPS. Turning off animations doesn't seem to change it.

I don't know a way to disable it. Have you tried lowering some of the graphic settings?

Developer here. There is no way to turn off the animations inside the game, but one can modify the file Content/Particles/EmitterSettings.xml to turn down the amount of smoke. Edit this in a text editor and change the following tags:

<Smoke1Number>50</Smoke1Number>
<Smoke2Number>50</Smoke2Number>
<SmokeColumnNumber>200</SmokeColumnNumber>

You can try smaller values for these and see what works for you on your system.

By the way, is it possible to increase font sizes through the game files? The game is playable but larger font would help.

I don't believe that there is a way to change the font sizes.
