I understand that Chains of War is a standalone game, and a DLC for the main game.
Then, I guess that meanwhile I don't get the "main" game, What I miss is only the scenarios? Or there are something more I will miss? (database content, editor, downloadble scenarios and so on...)

If you buy only Chains Of War and not the "base" game, you can play only the CoW scenario and the tutorials. You cannot play the base standalone scenarios, you cannot play any of the community scenarios, and you don't have access to the scenario editor.
