Is there a way to do that? It seems too dark of a contrast.

I know of no way to adjust the contrast of FOW, nor is there any mention of it in a search of the Slitherine forums. You cannot turn FOW off and back on (your other thread) and, anticipating another question, unless the scenario designer has intentionally made your unit(s) "visible" to the enemy, the AI cannot see your units in its FOW either.
