Hello all,

As we play two games at the same time, we should always start our posts referring to game 1 or game 2.

Let's make some good plans and execute them just as planned!

Would you mind if we use game 3 and game 4 instead? Might make things less confusing for an old geezer.

Plenty of plans and ideas already. To bad that I have to wait ages to put them into action. Because, sadly, they do not involve France. [:(]

We named games as UK vs Nordic 1 and 2. What ever is less confusing works for me, we can call them game 3 and 4. But I bet I will be confused anyway [&:] 4 games might be too much for me.

Italian set up does not indicate attack to Egypt. I placed one TRS to transport Wavell to France.

It would indeed be nice to have two British HQs in France.

France would also, eventually, like to turn over the defence of North Africa to CW. If CW could send troops to defend Tunisia and Algeria then that would be much appreciated. Although troops for BEF, of course, has priority.

How about the (secret experimental and risky) plan with CW forces? Can I do it if opportunity is given, or do I send all units to Belgium/France?

I prefer to play conservatively in the opening. So my vote is for the main plain to be to send the all units to Belgium/France.

However, with that said, we should not scrap the secret and experimental plan, hereby codenamed Calypso, rather be prepared to change to plan Calypso should the opportunity arise and the omens be favourable.

Edit: For clarification. You can always do what you think is best. I will offer suggestions, or ideas, and I will not be annoyed if they are ignored. However, it is always good if we both are informed about what is going to happen.

That is my standard strategy, bring lots of troops to France and watch how Germany uses turn after turn or O-Chit after O-Chit trying to capture Paris [:)]

On the other hand Calypso is something I would like try if there is a good opportunity.

I say go for Operation Calypso! I have reviewed this operation and think it would be fun and exciting.

That didn't go very well. Poland crushed in the first impulse. [:(]

Although, at the same time I am a little pleased as the setup worked as planned. With a bit of luck then it could have cost Germany dearly. No way to really save Poland against such overwhelming German force. Especially when saving the Polish HQ.

Germany had no cheap loss units in the attacks so bad die rolls could have cost Germany up to 10 BPs of units.

Nord 2:

Do we have any plan for the opening turn except to reduce the Polish forces? Any thoughts about Italy?

Nord 2:

No planes yet, except standard Fall Gelb or maybe few extra units for Poland.



I believe all games are waiting for me, so I start in order from Game 1.

If Italians keeps units in southern front, France need to keep units there too. What is your plans with Italy in general, do you let Allies DoW on you, or do you DoW if/when they bring CV's to West Med? I'm ready for everything [:)]

That was a nice impulse from Axis.

CW plans is to take naval and send only class 1 CV to West Med. Looks like Italy waiting Ark Royal to West Med, but she will wait in Gibraltar.

I send bigger fleet to North Sea and try to shoot down that fighter.
