I did find from there.

maybe a little bit too "blocky"

Ah, I was wondering what the inspiration was. I see it on that plane. I looked on Wiki for the 'Flags of Bulgaria' and saw nothing like the 'X', lol.

Nice litttle mod, very glad you've made it. I hated the game's original roundel.

I find the colors and especially the central dot of the Slovakian icon a little too glaring. I realize they had a bright version and a subtler version, and this is meant to be the brighter version, but I think it would look better if you lowered the saturation a little bit. With all due respect to my friends for Bratislava, Slovakia wasn't a bit enough contributor to the Axis war effort to have that much attentin called to it, so the subtler version of their roundel or even a slightly toned down version of the brighter roundel might be better.

The Bulgarian icon feels a little larger than all the others. It's a bit of an optical illusion, probably because the big 'x' is a simpler design. I wonder if you could still read it if you trimmed one pixel from the circumference which would bring it a little more into scale (it would also make it two pixels shorter and two pixels narrower).

[Still don't understand how this forum works. That was really in response to the first post in this thread].

I like these a lot and will use them. Thank you for your efforts.

Some comments...

The best thing I find is that I can now tell the difference in all my Axis minors when zoomed all the way out on the strategic map. Great stuff!

Couple of suggestions...

The Irish sprite sort of looks like one of those Tao symbols. Maybe a small green shamrock? Sorry if that's bit racist but hey there are swastika's in the game...and it's only game.

Just a thought on the Italians...maybe a square green, white, red sprite? Or some other way to incorporate green into the sprite. I seem to associate green with the Italian flag.

The Swedish sprites look like little "Oh" emoticons. Maybe simple half blue, half yellow circle. Or if you want to get fancy, a blue and yellow nordic cross like their flag.

It's hard for me to make out what the Norwegian sprite is. It sort of looks like an airline logo. Maybe try a red background with blue cross?

On the subject of crosses, for consistency, maybe a blue background and white cross for Greece?, though the present sprite is fine.

Anyway, I don't want you to think I am complaining. Hopefully my comments are received as constructive criticism. Thank you for your work. I will use this.

The presence of swastikas in these mods is neither an excuse nor an invitation for racism.

The activation icon for Ireland was the roundel used by the Irish Air Corps from the late 1930's to the mid 1950's and is entirely appropriate for this period.

The Swedish roundel with three gold crowns on a blue field has been around since the Middle Ages and refers to the Kalmar Union of Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

And thanks for that screenshot, it shows that Bulgaria is a little off-scale.

Just noticed that the activation roundel for the Kingdom of Yugoslavia looks a lot like the roundel that was used by Tito's air force. Hmm.

You're right
Should be this one (for early war)

I will modify yougoslavia and scale down Bulgaria at same time

Please do not change the tree crowns roundel that is perfect for Sweden!

The three crowns are our coat of arms, practically in our DNA, and most importantly; on the jerseys of out national ice hockey team![:)]

I agree that the three crowns are wonderful. The only change I could imagine is a very slight lightening of the shade of blue.

I'm still worried about Slovakia. It's a little too bright, and now that I see it in Batavian's screenshot next to a bunch of balkenkreuzen, it looks a little bit bigger than the balkenkreuzen. I wouldn't mess with the German activation symbols, but my pedestrian mind wants them to be about the same size as the Slovakian cross.

Yes! Spot on. In this context, the symbols are of historical significance only.
