Hey guys does anybody know what the mechanical differences are for changing the TOE of corps, armies, airbases to 50% etc. Does it change the combat ability of units under it's command or does it only effect the support TOE and manpower usage for the HQ itself?

Thanks in advance!

The level of support unit in an HQ have direct consequence of the ability of leaders to succeed in passing leadership check.

So if for example I set my my XXXX panzer corp HQ to 50% TOE to save on manpower it will have a +50% increase of the difficulty for leader checks?

The HQ having less support squads will mean-
-it can 'lend' less to its units
-below certain thresholds ratings are reduced Edit just seen Steltecks posts above that explain it better, I do not think it is pro-rata but need to find it in the manual

So in these ways the HQ having less support ToE/ manpower does reduce their units effectiveness

I see that makes a lot of sense support unit wise I should of been able to put that together myself but it's easy to have some rules fly over my head when there are so many (The coding must be a nightmare big ups to the developers for making such a magnificent monster)
I will give the manual another look to see how leadership is affected more in depth.

Thanks for you help guys it's much appreciated this has cleared up my understanding a lot
