Need help with menu screens with shpedit

Hi guys, I'm trying to edit some of the menu screens with shpedit, but when I try to import one of the 800x600 size bmp's back into the file(actmenu.shp), I get an access address error!!! I'm hoping that one of you folks that originally did the menu's for either WAW, or Sami's Civil War project will step up, and please let me know how to get around the large size error?! I'm definitely not a newbie at shpedit, having been working with it since it originally was released, but up till now, it's been working only with vehicle/terrain icons, not the large menu screen icons. HELP!!!!! TIA.

Possibly a dumb question: What does the 'SP fix' in shpedit do? Maybe that applies to such big images?

That function adjusts the header, or how the program aligns the icon in the game, but I can't even get that far, I even tried it with the 'use old header' unchecked, no joy there either! I don't know who did the original menu's for WAW, or SP:CW, I've asked Sami to try and find his guy, and I hope someone finds out, this blows, hell, even Fred Chlanda can't figure it out!! It works fine for smaller bmp's, prbably 800x600 is the absolute largest size allowed, but somehow it can be circumvented, the new menu's in the afore mentioned mods are proof of that!! GRRRRRR!

Eureka, I think I found out the way to do it!! You have to use Freds Unshp program, and also Makshp and then hdshp. Only the colors get messed up with the unshp, so I would manually replace all the resulting bmp's with my redone ones, same name as replaced ones, then makshp, then hdshp, voila, new menu shps!! Knew there was a way to do it, dammit!
