Interface lagging

Certain windows take up to 3 seconds to load up (e.g. the construction window [Shortcut F10] or the shipyard window). Others open instantly. Some open after a 1 second build up where only some elements of the window get displayed before it appears completely (see GIF in attachment two posts below this one).
Also the tutorial message window leaves a trail when dragging it around... I would post an image but the forum won't allow me until I've passed the 7 days mark.
Is there a solution to this?

Sorry for the triple post, but apparently I can't attach more than one file per post and I'm not allowed to put links or images in my posts because I'm a new member.
I've attached a GIF that exactly shows what my problem is.

After having watched several tutorial and Let's Play videos on YouTube I have concluded that this interface lag seems to be normal. I assume that it is just part of the game because I've now seen it on many videos by different players. So this thread can be closed.

Hi there,
The interface lag you're experiencing for your machine isn't what I would call normal. My machine is pretty close to yours (except mine is i7-4770 GTX 780 - but not Ti and win7)
I'm not tech support but perhaps try reinstalling the game? Also ensure drivers are up to date, bla bla... You can also try reinstalling the support programs from the /_CommonRedist dir off your game install dir. The XNA package is what largely drives the graphics for a .NET application. I think these packages offer a "repair" option if already installed, if I recall...
Dragging the tutorial window around is pretty smooth for me. Although, if you're in later game, you should expect a slow down in opening ship lists, etc... it's just the nature of this type of game as you add more and more stuff for the CPU to process.
Not sure if Win10 is the culprit as I don't run that OS... Hope some of this helps. [:)]

I have already reinstalled the game onto an SSD, checked all boxes in Windows, used compability mode (XP SP3 and Win7), ran as admin, turned off the Steam overlay, changed ingame settings, updated all drivers, reinstalled the Redist folder programs, turned off anti virus software and drank unicorn blood on a full moon night. It didn't help.
It looks exactly as shown in this tutorial video by Tortuga: youtube[dot]com/watch?v=fggnhZl1UyI&feature=youtu.be&t=5m1s
I've also seen it on several other videos so it at least seems to be a wide spread issue. There are also some threads on reddit (unresolved) about this problem.

Try running in windowed mode and check if the lag persists.

Unfortunately this didn't help either

I've had the lag too. My problem is sometimes I have it and sometimes It's fast. Who knows what it is. Maybe our RAM? I don't know.
