BLU-114/B "Soft-Bomb" in Scenarios

In the news today:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/10 ... se-norths/
The BLU-114/B "Soft-Bomb" is in the database. I would imagine effects
could be simulated via lua. For a country like North Korea, what things could be "shut down" i.e. where is electric power critical militarily that would be affected by an above ground strike? Could it have and effect on NK's artillery sharing down SK? Is the effect of the weapon beyond Command’s scope?

EMP bombs are already in the database so would be just a matter of adding the request to the right string with data.

My questions are related to how the effects of these weapons could be translated into scenario game play given the designer's ability to abstract things with lua. In other words, once the EMPs you mentioned or the BLU-114/Bs I mentioned hit targets, they will generate an some form of "electric grid disruption". Electrical grid disruption is not simulated in Command without lua and it takes the imagination of the designer to simulate their effects. Somewhere. I am not questioning the database, since the weapons are already available. My question is how to simulate their effects.

Hi Kevin
You can use communication disruption or lua to disable or remove mounts etc.
Thanks

Hi Mike -
Thank you for the general recommendations .. I was hoping to start a more robust discussion related to potential effects on a the NK electrical grid with specific ideas within the current NK geopolitical situation. Being able to "do anything" with lua or communication disruption does not make their execution's necessarily realistic from the player's POV. It's better to get some realistic ideas here first before one fires up the editor and travels down some silly unrealistic road.

Edited.
Okay Kevin. Let me know if I can help with Lua at some point.

I fail to see how any of that was rude.

Let's restart the thread based on trying to gather ideas for a scenario where part of the scenario is based on knocking out the NK power grid with munitions in the DB. This is not a crazy question to ponder.

So when the power goes out what would you like the game impact to be?
If disrupting networks you could divide the DPRK air def units up into different sides with maybe a central power plant node that If destroyed fires a lua script which disables the different fixed air defense assets within that node. You could also link each one with connecting sides although don't think we can go deeper than two layers deep due to some thing with the comms code. I did something similar for Operation Lightning Strike with all the weird little relationships (canned scenario that shipped with game). Mobile sites don't need power so could add to another side.
What do you think. Smart enough?
