V2.3 Possible bug?

Last night I tested V2.3 against the AI - sat up until 0600 in the morning :p
Everything was clockwork except for one thing:
When I transfered air units from one base to another and lost a plane in the process, the small window containing squadron info refused to close.
This happened 4-5 times. I could close it by Clicking the end turn button and then cancell the action, but when I opened a new sub menu, it would also refuse to close. This continues until I actually ended the turn.
Never experienced anything like this before, so I'm quite sure it got something with the new patch to do!

I had the very same thing happen to me under 2.2 but it only happened in one game session.
I would transfer squadron, lose a plane, a pilot lost message would pop up (it turned out to be the squadron leader each time) and have the same problems you described.

I've experienced the "screen lock up when squadron leader dies during transfer" bug prior to 2.30 as well as in 2.30.
During the recent 2.30 beta testing, I encountered it a few times but since it was not mentioned by any of the other testers, I had assumed it was just a quirk of my machine.
If anyone has a repeatable save of it, please send it to Matrix/2x3 as I'd say it's a definite bug.

Strange that I havn't experienced it prior to installing V2.3 - but as players have experienced it before, it's probably an 'old' bug!
I tried the 'Fortress Rabaul' scenario as Japan against the AI to test V2.3. I think the bug happened so many times because Jap air units are relatively unexperienced in this scenario and transfering them between bases caused quite a few operational losses.
So I suggest that you try this if you want to re-create the bug!

screen lock up when squadron leader dies during transfer
Seen that one from time to time, one of the reasons one saves ... it seems very specific to that event, as nothing else seems to cause that effect, and it doesn't happen all the time.
Not seen it in 2.30 yet, but sounds like you have. Oh well, they needed a reason for 2.40

but give them a month off for good work!

We thought this was due to the Commanding Officer being killed during transfer so we ensure that the CO would not be killed during transfers. I guess that this did not fix the problem so I've added it back to the list.

I saw it from time-to-time in earlier versions, particularly when I had been playing for a number of hours non-stop. Then last night when I started out my first turn on the Feb.42 scenario as the Allies, I started to get unresponsive windows during aircraft transfers. The only way to get rid of the window was to "save" the turn. But after I finished that turn and continued the problem didn't return.
(Hush - don't say the magic word to the S/W guys, but it appears to be a "m*e*m*o*r*y" problem.
