Has anyone else noticed the range finder of 10 and fire control of 10 for the Nashorn, compare this to the Ferdinand of 5 and 5 or the King Tiger of 8 and 7. Is this a mistake or intentional ? 10 seams a little bit on the high side

The Nashorn was a "sniper" not a "slugger" like the other two. It was designed to stand off and take full advantage of the 88L71 "long" gun and had by all accounts excellent optics even when compared to the good optics on the Tiger II. The Ferdinand was a fairly early design that focuses on armor not gunnery - not a surprise that it isn't as good as the T2 or NH.

What Owl says is very true also the Nashorn was designed as a cheap way to make the heavyer 88's mobile in 43. From Feb. 43 to mar. 45 some 494 were build. Most were build in 43 and a number of them were used for the first time at Kursk.
