Periplus and Diekplus

Trying to achieve both maneuvers against the Persian fleet... not easy so far. Great game, I am enjoying it.

Thank you! There are two historical interpretations of what the diekplus and the periplus were. The first is that they were an individual maneuver of each ship, the second
reads that they were collective maneuvers of the fleet: the diekplus was a direct approach, while the periplus was the attempt to surround the enemy. I think this second interpretation is much more accurate, and it's the one I've tried to make possible in the game:

Thank you, this is very interesting info. Now I understand why some of the scenarios show the Greek fleets approaching in column/line astern the enemy ships. At first that initial positioning surprised me.

Good book, and good price, just got it on kindle.
I must be the worst naval commander ever, but I am having fun with this game.
