I've had this problem for a long time and cannot figure out why.
My mouse cursor is invisible under 2000/XP. Anything else is normal.
I tried to change to 98 compatible mode under XP according to someone's suggestion, but it didn't work.
I have to reboot machine and use 98 floppy to restart, and play in DOS, which dramatically reduces my interests in playing WIR.
Is this problem solvable?
Thanks in advance.

I use Windows XP Pro and its works fine. I do not know why you can not as it worked first time I loaded WIR on XP jusdt like it worked in 98.

Have you or can you phone Microsoft ...there is a free support timeframe with 3 free problems if your OS is newly acquired

Are U using a Compaq or a more modern machine?

Sounds like the ol' "Can't do EGA/CGA" two-step...

Have U made any changes to the autoexec.nt or config.nt files?

Please send some machine info (processor, video, memory, HDD, ect). There are plenty of us techies about...;)

And, do a search on this forum - there are many posts that have solved many probs that prohibit WIR to run. All it takes is patience and a bit of persistance.

BTW, Welcome! You're in good company.
