TOAW Scenario Archive

I was just googling around for TOAW scenario download sites other than Rugged Defense and I happened upon this site. http://www.alternatewars.com/Games/TOAW/TOAW.htm
It is the work of a user here, RyanCrierie and contains hundreds of scenarios for the older versions of TOAW. I'm not sure how many would work with IV but it's an invaluable resource none the less and represents a lot of work on Ryan's part.

Can someone convert all these to TOAW 4? At least the ones that don't have special graphics requirements?
Do you need version 1 to get to verion 2 to load into version 3 to load into version 4, or can this latest version load an old old version?

3 to 4 should not be tricky. There are scenario converting tools out there to bring over COW and ACOW scenarios to 3 and subsequently to 4. Any scenario thee has in mind?

Thanks Klink;
I always look at the map and setup first to see if it is interesting, so no, I don't have a specific one, but I see lots of possibilities.

Hey, I had a few I was interested in checking out if it's not too much trouble as I don't have 3:
The Korean War 1950 to 1953 (I know there's a Korean war scenario in IV, I wanted to see how this one differed).
Angola 71-74
Cutio Cuanavale
Iraqi-Iranian War 1980 to 1988
Mehran 1985
Kapyong Valley
Yugoslavia 1951
Bat 21
(sorry for the "to" instead of "-", the forum software thought I was a spammer trying to post phone numbers).
Those are the only ones I identified that I wanted to try that hadn't already been converted to III, I assume if they were already converted to III I can open them in IV myself?

...Bat 21....
You can forget about Bat 21. I wrote it and it's disorganized and boring. I tested it one time and was disgusted.
It's small and quick and really dirty. It was my first attempt at writing a scenario and it shows. It's at least
five years old. It's about a pilot that gets shot down over North Vietnam and the Search and Rescue folks are trying
to get to him before the NVA does and it's supposed to be suspensful and exciting and it's not. See for yourself if
you want to.

Just a thought. As the older scenarios get updated to TOAW IV and as the released scenarios get improved, it would be nice for future game updates to include all of these new/revised scenarios. Make them official, rather than have players hunt for them and download them separately?

Hey there pzgndr dude. There is going to be another patch released and the submitted scenarios and updated ones
will be included in the patch. That's my understanding. I don't know when but I've heard there's a patch coming.

Hey everyone, please disregard my conversion requests, I found a thread with a utility that lets you do it yourself. (I can't post links since I'm new but look for a TOAW III thread called "Freezing/crashing at random times")

Hey Larry,
I actually love the movie which is why I was interested! Sorry to hear you didn't like your scenario... may give it a try one day just for kicks.

Caution: After playing Bat 21 the player is prone to poke himself in the eye with a fork. You have been warned.

Hey Larry, our G-3 Air.
Did you ever see the flick
Bridges of Toko-Ri? Korean War. Carrier Pilot. Shot down. Mickey Rooney. Pilot Rescue chopper. Does not end well... I saw it as a kid.
Fast forward to college. Interview with Playboy with James Michener. Author of the book. "forget my book: was lousy, the film was much better..."
