It seems the Cancel/Exit button in the Select New Game dialog does not work if I'm in a scenario, go to File > Begin a new game, and then try to Cancel/Exit the New Game dialog.

As in the screenshot. I'm in Kaiserschlacht Mini and want to cancel opening a new scenario. I cannot cancel this dialog now.

but you can go back to the previous one?

No, I cannot go back.

In the situation in the screenshot I can only close this dialog by clicking the Play/Exit button (= open a new scenario). I cannot Cancel/Exit this dialog to go back to the open scenario.

the developer will see and reply as it's more in his field than mine, what does the empty button do on the right? maybe something than could be used or will be at a later date etc?

JPJ is correct that this is a glitch and it has been reported, and thanks for verifying it.

The empty button on the right is for Documentation, if there is any with the scenario.

ah thanks, reported it also again, but 2 reports now won't matter as didn't see first one[:(]

I might also suggest to not call buttons "cancel / exit" and "play / exit" - so what do they actually do, cancel and exit , play and *then* exit? [8|]
