Is there a way to change colour to the circle highlighting units from the same formation?
I'm having a hard time with that faint, almost invisible grey.

Kind of agree - it really should be light green or something like that to make it stand out against the backgrounds.

Alternatively, always check the Mod subsection for anything related to graphics, sounds, etc. If you like the yellow, I can provide them. If you prefer RedMarkus' mod (see link), feel free.

like 90+% of all questions in the tect support section, most if not all can be answered from the manual and main forum, which will or could be quicker, as tech support is for technical questions regrading errors, bugs and system errors in the game, not game unknown questions i'm sorry to say, if Oberst_Klink has the answer, please share it with others so this can be closed

Everything but the grey.
I will check the mod, but IMHO the developers should address this issue in the next patch.

not saying it won't be fixed either, but a report has already been written with what is in the list of being fixed

the tech posts are being answered as fast as they are inputted but anything i can't answer myself are being relayed to the developers who are working on the first patch etc and has shared some of his new work in main already, just to show it is work in progress, thanks for waiting
