get rid of mouse pop-up?

Anyway to get rid of the mouse pointer pop-up info box? Most of the info is elsewhere and it just gets in the way now. I tried setting the delay to 100000 but that led to glitches - entire black screens that last several seconds. Any other way? Thanks.

Just trying if this helps:
Does it make a difference if you set the tool tip Show delay not to max but just long enough?
Did you set the tool tip Hide delay to 1?
In Player Options, see screenshot above. (You may need to restart TOAW to apply these changes.)
