It helps if you can provide either a save game where I can hit end turn, a description of exactly how to reproduce the problem or the CrashLog from Documents/My Games/The Operational Art of War IV.
Thanks,
Ralph

I keep having a problem with games crashing without any set pattern, the scenario just crashes and goes back to the main screen. I have resorted to saving my games every 5 minutes but would like to know if there is a fix as it is annoying. I bought my PC about a year ago, plenty of memory and good graphics card. Any help would be appreciated.

Several things you can try.
If it is installed on a drive that is not the default drive uninstall and install on the default drive.
Get the Steam key and try running it through Steam. Since some people have a hate on for Steam do this one last. [8|]
Go to the .exe file and try running compatibility tool. Just right click the .exe file and pick properties at the bottom. You will get a window with Compatibility as a tab:
