Where can troops land?

I just had a bizarre Player Turk vs Allied PO playthrough of the Gallipoli scenario where after I annihilated the initial landing I simply piled on the landing site with overwhelming force) the Allies simply sent a few ships to bombard me and otherwise left well enough alone for the rest of the game. I had such a heave concentration of troops on the edge of the peninsula near the initial landing site, with smaller formations covering the two anchorages to the north, that where he could land was an open question. As it turns out, the PO didn't even try -- and being a PO, it didn't know to concede the game.
Given the way I was deployed, and the way I was rushing forces south to deter a second handing there, a human opponent would probably have at least considered a second landing -- somewhere he could reach where the bulk of my army wasn't. But in which coastal hexes could I have made a landing? Obviously the easiest places would be an anchorage because that's a ready supply source, but can I make my initial landing at a less-defended hex and push my way into the anchorage?
