I have played a couple a turns of the 40 to 43 scenario as axis and I notice that the Italians have woefully inadequate armour "tankettes" There main piece of Armour was the L3, which was a 3 ton armored car w a machine gun. Did the Italians ever get better armor?

And what a disappointment this piece of equipment is for the axis player in N Africa trying to take on the great British empire:

They get less awful as the war progresses; but are still dueling with the Japanese for the worst armor of the period.
