Hi,

I'd like to play a scenario vs the PO. My preference is for large/monster scenarios. I'm intrigued by the various Indo-China/Vietname scenarios, the Iran-Iraq war, and all of the east front large scenarios as well as the full WW2 scenarios europe in flames, etc.

Can someone suggest or rank some of these scenarios and any others that you love that will play well vs a PO and also which sides work for human vs PO? I don't want to sink many hours in just to find that play vs the PO is a dud.

Directive 21 vs the soviet PO: large-monster-east front, all check [:)]

Never played it myself but heard great things about it. Also is very popular and so tested.

Thanks Meyer. I read through the documentation for Directive 21 and it seems like it might be overwhelming as German for an inexperienced player. The docs say the soviet force will get out of control (paraphrasing) if certain important cities aren't taken on time...or something to that effect so maybe I'd better find a scenario that isn't intended for expert players.

Any idea if any of the WW2 full war scenarios like:
Europe at war 1939-45
Third Reich 1943-45
World at War 1939-45
Sino-Japanese War 1937-45

or these:
Boonie Rats 65-72
Indochina 1951-55
Vietnam 65-68

are good vs PO from either/both sides?

Will post a converted/updated version of my Alternate History scenario-mod Europa 1947 soon... Both sides PO enabled, large 25 km/hex map covering Europe, North Africa and the Middle East... over a 1000 units per side, no Theater Options needed, lots of events in place which handle supply, reinforcements, wihdrawals etc

"PBEM with PO for both forces"

Does this mean the PO can play axis or allies? Or does it mean you can play PBEM and set part of your forces to be run by the PO instead of running them yourself?

Hmmm I don't PBEM so your second question is interesting... but the answer for the first one is yes, you could play against the computer as the Germans or the Soviets.

Campaign for South Vietnam, 1965-75 is playable against the PO from either side.

You may already know this but I'm doing an AAR with D21 as my subject and I'm having a blast.

AND I don't think it's all that complicated. Just bigger. And it's got a SOVIET PO.
It's FITE with a PO to play against. What could possibly go wrong.
I'm having more fun than a cat on a five hole bird house.

CSV is one of my favorites, maybe because I'm in the game at Bien Hoa.
At any rate, I'm thinking it might be a little more complicated for the rank
beginner. What with the EEV to care about. But hey, intelligence matters and
if you can handle the concept then yeah, get after it. It was new to me and
confusing at first but working with it and watching how it works makes sense
now. It's not easy but it's doable.
