Modding the Steam version?

Is it possible to use any of these mods with the Steam version of the game? If so, how?

I guess you can copy any files normally to where the Steam installed the game.
Just don't verify integrity of game files as this will redownload changed files.

Morvael is correct. Done it many times and works just fine
