Side By Side Error

Been away from wargaming for a (long) while, and just purchased ME to get back into the fray.
Just installed the game, and I'm getting a "side-by-side configuration" error. I even tried installing all updates; no cigar.
Any help would be appreciated. I tried searching the forum and didn't find anything regarding this error, so I made this thread.
EDIT: Details: I'm Windows 10. I also noticed that JTCS won't launch any of three modules either, although JTCS gives no error.
War in the East will launch fine though.

The side by side error is usually related to the Microsoft C++ redistributables
PHASE I
First, go here:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package
Install the package linked above.
RESTART.
Of course, you might want to check is there is a more current one for Windows 10.

Really excellent job on this game you guys did. Having a blast, especially with the new zoomed in 2D view. I much prefer 2D, and the new zoomed in views make the game much more enjoyable. So much so I'd pay $20 DLC to get these zoom levels on JTCS. It'd be hard to go back to JTCS as a 2D player.
Definitely looking forward to Vietnam and the re-done WW2 games. ME feels so refined and professional.

With 2.0, there's one more zoom-in level coming up, this time both for 2D and 3D [:)]
