Attack as a single unit or group

Hey
Just bought this game and been dipping mee feet in for a few days now. I noticed that in a tutorial scenario when you plan your first attack as instructed in the tutorial document in the hex 5, 37 (NK 6th div 15th infantry regiment and 5th artillery regiment) you're supposed to order singe group attack. However the you're only allowed to order single unit attack. Why is this and what dictates when I can order group attacks and single unit attacks? Especially when both units in the said hex are able to attack on their own.

from my small expérience, you must order attack separately between (range and close)
ex: 2 HQ or Art with range can attack solo or stack
2 units in same hex can do the same thing

If I may, and do allow me to apologise, point you to my tutorials?

You can order a " singe group attack" when you have several units on the same hex, so you order the attack to several units at once. Is not gonna be different if you order the attack to each unit one at a time, is just something that would save you some mouse clicks, is the same as "group move" vs "single unit move" for moving units.

Yes, this I understand, but I'm trying to figure out why in this case the game does not allow me to order group attack even though there are two units in the same hex.

Can you just dump the .SAL file, zipped of course, here? I'll have a look.

Perhaps one of the unit don't have enough movement points to perform the attack, or the terrain is not suitable for that unit...

They were on strike because they felt they were being treated unfairly. The CO had to go talk to
them and it turned out that they had just gotten off 24 hours of overnight postings and needed
some sleep and for "some reason" they were about to be ordered back out in the field without a hot
meal or anything. The CO said he would take care of it and left. Then 30 minutes later the
orders came down from above to stand down. So they did.

Here you go, hex 5,37.

OK, looks like a little bug: when you have an artillery unit along with other unit in the same hex, the "group" order does not appear. Now, if you add a third unit the order is available. Tested with another scenario and is the same.

Okay, that's nice to know. I was leaning towards it being a bug or it having something to do with the other unit being artillery.
