I bought Masters of Orion 3 and hate it. I was wondering, since I would like a good Sci-fi game, if this one is any good?

cant believe nobody answered this yet, I don't follow this forum.
the short answer is yes. There is a 50 turn or year demo out. But 50 years is so short it doesn't touch on alot of the good things in the game.
Be warned it is very different than traditional 4x games and once you get over that, you'll like it. The graphics are a little under parr but that doesn't matter to me so much.

Well, you couldn't pick a game more different from MOO 3 than this one. SUDG has a definite "Star Trek" feel to it, which will appeal to fans of the show. You'll never have dozens of planets and hundreds of ships to manage. Instead, you'll have a handful of ships, with which to conduct exploration, keep the peace, and, occasionally. make war. Each ship and planet will be critical to the progress of your people, and, unlike MOO 3, every decision you make will have a significant impact on your progress. SUDG has a much more personal feel than other games, and, in that way, is more immersive. Check out the demo, but be aware that, with only 50 years of play, you hardly even start to get to the real fun.
