Hello,

I recently bought this game but I cannot run it. I always get error 818. I have windows 10.
I try reinstall game, set compatibility mode and run it as a admin but nothing help.

Like you I had the same issue after installing the latest full install.

So instead of installing : WarPlanOrange-SetupRelease-v1205u.exe

Install : WarPlanOrange-SetupRelease-v100DR.exe
Update : WarPlanOrange-UpdateCompRelease-v1205u.exe

Be warned though WPO runs like thick poop on my Windows 10 machine.
Out of curiosity (and basically wasting a day...) I installed a virtual Windows 7 machine and it runs both games like poop hitting the fan [:D]

Wish I had checked the tech part of the forum and the return policy of Matrix before buying these obsolete games.
Sure there is a sale and I did get enough value for money in my binge, but it still leaves a slightly bitter taste.

I've caved in and made my system dual boot (again).

Windows 10 Pro x64 main
Windows 7 Ultimate x64 legacy

Better be prepared for more legacy games that don't like W10 - although in general most games seem to work fine.

The More one moves up in windows versions the less older games will run because each new windows version has less and less support for games that need dos So if able to, keep your older computer and its older windows for stand a lone playing.. just dont use the older PC's with older OS on internet as XP/Vista lack anymore OS support and patching of security issues..but an old PC re-furbished can still be used for older stand a lone games and in fact run better...why I still have XP and Vista old Laptops, with wireless disabled for such use

I think I might have. Will look later tonight and see.

thanks, trying to see if the older version installs better than the newer one, as im seeming to get an error on the latest only in my test installs, even with the quick fix in windows 10 etc

The problem really is not with windows 10 but something different because I have same problem in old windows xp.
Is it possible to download old installer?

The problem is solved. MAtrix games restore posibility to download version 1.00 and everthing is ok.
