I'm surprised that Air Assassin was not toned down from III to IV. I don't mind the targets it chooses, but why does it always place units on ignore losses?
Can this be changed? I like using it, but not if my entire air force is gone after a few turns.

I'm guessing that most players don't use the Air Assistant. I've been known to turn it on briefly
just to get a list of possible missions, then turn it off, adjust the missions to my liking, and
THEN execute them.

Yes, that's what I've been doing. I generally hate assigning airfield attacks so I let AA choose the targets and then adjust the loss tolerance and maybe cancel a few attacks and put some planes on combat support or interdiction. I'd just leave it and let AA do it's thing if every unit was not on ignore losses.

I'm guessing the air formations have Ignore Losses settings. I think you can change that.

Actually, the formation setting is limit losses the AA changes individual units to ignore losses.

[:D] It's pretty old, even before TOAW III people called it Air Assassin. I cannot be that hard to just have it set to limit losses instead of ignore. It's a useful tool if you have lots of air units, but who would use it if you're going to lose tons of planes every turn until you have nothing left.
