I'm trying to get into the editor to see the scripts. I open the folder in the 1939 campaign for event scripts but can see nothing in the folder. However there is about 1.65MB of files in the folder, per teh Properties function. Any idea what is going on?

No idea what you are doing there. Don't go to the Editor to see scripts. Go to Program Files/Matrix Games....

And don't make changes.
