I am not saying - pre splitted. Just if there is a way to have a split-able unit without the suffix division in the name.

No. You must "pre split" and point at a parent formation which can combine the fractions up.
I start with a tank unit in 6 or more parts - every important element - and they (usually) combine
flawlessly - but after that they remain combined forever - unless called a division - in which
case they split into three parts - not the original parts.

I forgot that. Yes they are. NRA (wrongly generally abbreviated ROC - it
formally stands for National Revolutionary Army and refers to the revolution
against Imperial rule by Dr Sun Yat Sin - hero of both KMT and CCP) was
a very large "organization" - particularly on paper. There were many
Provincial units, all nominally numbered in the NRA system, and more than
a few "warlord" units - many of them also nominally numbered in the NRA system.
To avoid treating a well armed and organized unit like a small and poorly armed
one, one should use judgement on a case by case basis. Make units static if
they would never leave a given place (except under pressure of combat). There is
a weird and fine Warlord - he got along with the Japanese and survived the war
but not the revolution which followed it - who even made his own artillery and
small arms. But his "corps" should be static in spite of its fine outfit and
morale and skill ratings. All sorts of special capabilities exist - one can
do a lot with the Chinese. And should - China is to Japan as the USSR is to
Germany - a sink for forces too big to overrun entirely. Unlike the usual thinking
of Western naval buffs, China is not a sideshow in the Pacific War. It is the
SUBJECT of the Pacific war. The History of the Sino-Japanese War, 1937-1945 is
perfectly titled (there is also a nearly identical Japanese title). The war in the
Pacific begins in 1937 and is continuous for 8 years. It led ROC to decide - after
the loss of Nanking - that it could not win by itself. So it adopted the policy that
the USA was "the last, best hope for China" - and it set out to bring the US into the
war. It succeeded. See China and the Origins of the Pacific War by Yaouli Sun,
St Martin's Press, written from declassified KMT archives. Basically, the ROC set out
to get Japan to pick a fight with the USA. It took a while, but not so very long from the
date they decided to try.

It would be interesting to the Forum At Large if you could provide some support/documentation to the hypothesis that it was the focus of Chinese strategy to get Japan to "pick a fight with the US".
